About this Session

The workshop will explore how advances in super intelligence (SI) can help overcome longstanding barriers to transitioning promising research and development into practical applications, manufacturing capabilities, acquisition programs, and operational deployment. Discussions will examine emerging SI-enabled approaches to technology readiness and manufacturability assessments, digital engineering and digital twins, qualification and certification, and manufacturing scale-up. The workshop will also consider how SI can support the identification of transition partners, alignment of emerging technologies with operational needs and programs of record, prediction of transition barriers, and evaluation of supply-chain challenges. Particular attention will be given to how these capabilities could accelerate the transition of materials science and manufacturing innovations from research environments into fielded capabilities.
