Sarah Arveson is currently the Vice President of UAW 5810, the Union for Postdocs and Academic Researchers at the University of California, Berkeley. After receiving a Bachelors degree in Applied Mathematics and Geophysics at UC Berkeley in 2015, and a PhD in Earth and Planetary Science at Yale University in 2020, Sarah was a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Center for Integrative Planetary Science at UC Berkeley from 2020-2022. She is currently taking a break from research in high-pressure mineral physics in order to organize with UAW 5810, fighting for just working conditions with Postdocs and Academic Researchers.
