About this Session

This workshop will address the question of how to realize community benefits in federally-funded energy infrastructure projects. Throughout six sessions, participants will: gain a better understanding of the DOE’s Community Benefit Plan process; learn about Community Benefit Agreements and situate them in the broader context of other frameworks for providing community benefits; hear from underserved communities on successful engagement models, tools, and resources needed for meaningful negotiation; and understand what is required for proactive and long-term capacity building in underserved communities.
