Partnerships, Innovations, and Opportunities in Geohealth: Fall 2024 Board on Earth Sciences and Resources Meeting

Clean air and water are prerequisites for good health. However, there is a need to bridge the divide between the Earth sciences and public health so that complex environmental health problems can be solved. The Board on Earth Sciences and Resources (BESR) Fall 2024 Meeting will highlight innovative approaches to geohealth research, focusing on effective collaboration strategies and emerging geophysical and geochemical data that can be used to improve population health. Our goal is to articulate where geosciences and health intersect to increase the relevancy of geosciences at the individual, community, and national scales; highlight innovations in geohealth; and show the value of geophysical and geochemical datasets in geohealth research assessment.
