The purpose of the meeting is to consider how critical infrastructure is designed and constructed across active faults and identify in what areas those practices are in need of improvement. This topic is motivated by surface faulting from the 2023 Turkey-Syria earthquake and the development of future linear infrastructure in active faulting regions such as the high-speed rail in California.
