Short Bio
Dr. Bruce Mandt is Associate Dean in the Graduate School and Director of the Postdoctoral Office at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus (CU Anschutz). He also holds appointments as Assistant Professor in the Department of Pharmacology and Director of the Mentoring³ program within the Colorado Clinical and Translational Sciences Institute. His work at CU Anschutz is primarily focused on fostering supportive research training environments. Previously, Dr. Mandt was Assistant Research Professor in the Psychology Department at the University of Colorado Denver (CU Denver), where he conducted drug abuse research, mentored students, and taught undergraduate courses. Nationally, he has served as Co-Chair of the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) Group on Research, Education, and Training (GREAT) and as Chair of its Postdoctoral Training Section. As a member of the GREAT steering committee, he helped develop and author the AAMC GREAT Appropriate Treatment of Research Trainees (AToRT) guide and continues to serve as Co-Chair of the AToRT working group. Dr. Mandt earned his PhD in Pharmacology from CU Anschutz and a BA in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin–Madison.
