Marcia Gee Riley, M.S. is the Director and Ombuds for Students & Postdoctoral Appointees at the University of California, Berkeley. She has been at her institution since 1984 where she earned her undergraduate degree in Social Welfare. She has served in many roles on the campus and has served as the ombuds for the past seventeen years. She earned her M.S. in Counseling with an emphasis in Higher Education from the California State University, East Bay and is a Certified Organizational Ombuds Professional with the International Ombuds Association (IOA). Marcia also teaches the Foundations course for IOA and recently served on the IOA Board of Directors.
