Improving Resiliency in the U.S. Pharmaceutical Supply Chain Through Make-Buy-Invest Strategic Actions: A Workshop
The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine will host a two-day hybrid public workshop focused on “make, buy, and invest” strategies to address drug shortages and fortify the U.S. pharmaceutical supply chain against disruptions from health emergencies, natural disasters, and geopolitical conflicts. Experts will explore domestic production (“make”), methods to reward high-quality global manufacturers (“buy”), and discuss shifting production to more reliable international partners (“invest”).
