Life-Cycle Assessment (LCA) and Technoeconomic Analysis (TEA) of Emerging Greenhouse Gas Removal Technologies
Webinar 3: Life-Cycle Assessment (LCA) and Technoeconomic Analysis (TEA) of Emerging Greenhouse Gas Removal Technologies – Tues. Sept. 23 at 1pm ET.
Robust evaluation tools are critical to understanding the feasibility and impact of emerging greenhouse gas (GHG) removal technologies. This webinar will explore the latest developments in prospective life-cycle assessment (LCA) and technoeconomic analysis (TEA) as applied to carbon, methane, and other GHG removal approaches. Panelists will discuss persistent data and methodological gaps that limit the effectiveness of these analyses, as well as potential solutions to overcome them. The session will also highlight how leading GHG removal technologies perform in LCA and TEA studies and what these findings reveal about their scalability and deployment challenges. Finally, the discussion will address the role of improved Measurement, Reporting, and Verification (MRV) systems in ensuring the durability and reliability of GHG removal outcomes. The moderator for this conversation will be Chris Jones, and panelists will include: Morgan Edwards, Anu Khan, and Yuan Yao.
