Board on Earth Sciences and Resources Fall 2025 Meeting: Enhancing Uranium Production as a Domestic Source for Nuclear Energy
This meeting will explore current U.S. uranium production and its potential as a future domestic source for nuclear energy to enhance U.S. energy security. Speakers and panel discussions will consider the availability and economic viability of uranium in the U.S., extraction processes and regulations, and midstream processing such as milling. This meeting will identify opportunities to enhance U.S. uranium production and consider knowledge and technology gaps and the social or regulatory concerns that may inhibit uranium production in the United States.
