Impact of the Inflation Reduction Act on Cancer Care: A Virtual Workshop Series (Part 2)

The health care provisions of the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) aim to lower out-of-pocket costs for Medicare beneficiaries and reduce federal spending on prescription drugs. This virtual workshop series, hosted by the National Cancer Policy Forum in collaboration with the Forum on Drug Discovery, Development, and Translation, will examine the IRA’s health care provisions and their implications for access to high-quality care for chronic diseases and for innovation in drug development, with a particular focus on cancer care.

This second part, to be held on October 6, 2026, will explore the impact of the IRA’s provisions on health care systems and prescription drug coverage. Part 1 will examine the potential effects of the provisions on affordability and patient access to both self-administered and physician-administered drugs.
