Overall Aircraft Cabin Air Quality: Meeting #9
This virtual open session is scheduled for August 21, 2026, from 2:00 - 4:00 PM ET. The session will provide an opportunity to gather information from medical professionals relevant to the committee’s statement of task, including regarding the potential health impacts of fume and smoke events. Participants were invited to provide any presentation materials via a pre-recording that will be made available via this event webpage for viewing before the event. During the live event, recorded presentations will be summarized as part of the introductory comments to a panel discussion and dialog moderated by committee members. The event will be livestreamed via the event webpage.
During the session, an opportunity for public comments to be received in writing will be provided via the SLIDO widget embedded below the livestream video. Please be aware that by submitting a public comment, you consent to your submission being used as a point of reference and/or example by the committee in their deliberations, as well as being recorded and/or used by the National Academies in any publication and/or media now known or hereafter devised in perpetuity, and you release the National Academies from any liability due to such usages.
