Advancing Diagnostic Excellence in Pediatrics: A Workshop
On November 5, 2026, the National Academies Forum on Advancing Diagnostic Excellence will host a public hybrid workshop to explore opportunities to improve diagnosis for children in the U.S. health care system. Discussion topics may include promoting patient-centered and family-oriented care delivery; exploring technology and diagnostic innovation to enhance diagnostic safety; identifying strategies to reduce barriers to high-quality diagnosis for children; strengthening professional education and training to improve diagnostic reasoning and communication; and advancing research to address evidence gaps in pediatric diagnosis.
