Renée V. Ferranti has been with the National Science Foundation since 2023 serving as the primary point of contact in the Office of the Director (OD) where she leads the agency-wide implementation of Sexual Assault and Harassment Prevention and Response initiatives. Prior to joining NSF, she served as the Director of the Sexual Assault Prevention and Response (SAPR) program with the Peace Corps from 2019-2023. She also dedicated 15 years to the U.S. Department of Defense SAPR program serving in a variety of roles, as a victim advocate, sexual assault response coordinator, and program manager at multiple military installations and at the headquarters level. She holds a bachelor’s degree in social science and a master’s degree in psychology.
